Uninstalling and Installing Appliances

I am looking to buy all new appliances to replace very old ones.  I was pretty sure that I’d buy them from Lowe’s because it seemed easy (free delivery!  free haul-away!)  but found out that they don’t actually uninstall or install appliances and said that for gas and water (i.e. fridge, oven, dishwasher) you’d need plumber to do this.

That seems like then, I’d need a plumber twice (or to unistall, wait for the appliances to arrive, and install) and seems crazy.  Is this how it usually works?

If yes, can anyone recommend someone to do this and share advice on how you managed the process.

If no, then are their other appliance dealers who do installations?

If you’re buying big ticket items at Lowes, be sure to use Lowes 10% discount coupons, available on Ebay and Craigslist.  On Ebay look for closest to save shipping time.

Before you pull the trigger on your appliance purchase can I bid on the job? Its common to have the appliances disconnected prior to delivery /removal. I have someone that works with me that can remove all and re-install. He works around your delivery schedule. My email address and phone number are in my profile. I can certainly save you money……

Yes that’s normally how it works. I had the same done at my new home and had my plumber Slawek do the removal / install. 347.206.9787 tell him Adam gave you the number.
