Garden Rental - Appliance recommendations

My husband and I are preparing to do a substantial renovation on a P. Heights townhouse and we will be adding a rental apartment on the garden level.  We want to do a nice reno to maximize the rent without using super high end appliances.  Please let me know if you have recommendations for any refrigerator, range, dishwasher and/or washer/dryer that you have found to be high performing and low maintenance (little to no service/repairs required).  Thx.

I would avoid Frigidaire products altogether but invest in buying an all stainless dishwasher…not Bosch though…they have a very quiet but LONG cycle which will run up your water bills.

We have Summit fridges in both our tenants’ apartments and have had problems with both of them and are, in fact, replacing one before the compressor goes. I highly recommend you check out Drimmers (http://www.drimmers.com/index.html). They were recommended to me by friends who bought all their appliances there, not only for their rental units, but also for their unit. We got our w/d there and will by our tenant’s new fridge their too. I wouldn’t shop anywhere else for appliances.

I bought a summit mini fridge and range for my kitchen a few years ago. Very happy with them. AJ madison has a good selection.

try asking J+R appliances on 7th avenue. I think it’s Ralph there. They are long time in the neighborhood and do repairs as well as sales so can probably guide you on good values. Always nice to support local business too. We bought our washing machines with them after trying big box stores and being frustrated there. (718) 638-3040.
