dryer: electric or gas?
we just bought a brownstone and gut renovating our house want to put washer dryer hook up in the cellar, wondering pros and cons of electric dryer vs gas. electric will need 240 W and ags will need a vent… any thoughts? thanks _kanu

I think you need a vent no matter what. Ventless driers takes forever to dry. Which, costs a LOT more since electric costs more in the first place. Unless you cannot vent, pick gas and get a vent put in.

If you could, stick with gas. Gas drying is so much more efficient than electric. Keep in mind that most electric dryers also need to be vented. Gas is significantly cheaper to run than electric.
