Best Store To Buy A Basic Refrigerator From?

Hi. I just had a very bad experience with Lowe’s because they sent a dented refrigerator and the manager wasn’t too nice too me. I need a basic refrigerator and would appreciate any suggestions on stores. I was thinking of ordering from sears.com because for some reason they are cheaper than from the actual store. Right now I am without a refrigerator and any opininions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

We always get appliances at Drimmer’s at Coney Island Ave. They have top of the line, middle of the line, and some low-end stuff, and the customer service is great (the salesperson we always work with is Shmuli). We have gotten a fridge and two stoves for rental units there, as well as a fridge and stove for ourselves.

I second the appliance by phone recommendation.  Steve is great, and his prices are greater.

I buy all appliances that go in rental units from Steve – http://www.appliancesbuyphone.com – there is no tax, and everything is delivered to the apartment (not installed). As for a **basic refrigerator**, i’m currently using this one: http://www.appliancesbuyphone.com/ge-gth18gbdww-energy-star-18.1-cu-ft-top-freezer-refrigerator.html which has good ratings, comes with glass shelves and at a reasonable price ($561.00 delivered and all). For $15 more (cash to the driver) they also take away the old one if needed. **Dents:** It happens, you have to check the appliances before signing… once you sign the papers … there is not much that you can do.
