This is weird, but Ikea has great orchids.  And they’re super-reasonable (you can get a two-spike phalaenopsis for $14).

I’ve seen some nice ones at the Brooklyn Terminal Market.  I think they were at the Lapide shop but I can’t remember for sure.  The Brooklyn Botanical Garden has great plants, so if they have any in stock, I’m sure they are good quality.
