A quick bathroom renovation?

Hi Brownstoners, We’re about to move into a coop unit in Sunset Park. The unit’s only bathroom really needs to be renovated (tiles off the walls, new tub, new vanity, new toilet, fixtures stay in same place, though) The whole bathroom is only 5×8\. Since it’s the only bathroom in the unit, we need it redone as quickly as possible (we move in three weeks after we close). We live in the building currently, so there’s no worries about getting board approval. I’ve read the various threads about bathroom remodels, but didn’t see any that prioritize speed. Do you have any experience with a fast, reliable bathroom remodeler? We’re not looking for anything fancy…just not the ugly bathroom that is there now. Thanks! Dan Sunset Park

Call Patrick at Brit-Trini, Ltd 718-309-3934\. I have used them for my high end rental remodels in Fort Greene & Clinton. I know they work alot in Clinton Hill apartments Co-Op and several buildings on Eastern Parkway. They are quick, stay on the job until it is finished, do not take on too many jobs at the same time and are clean, honest and follow up, hence they have many repeat customers. Good luck.

It can be done in three weeks, but you’ve probably left out a number of items. Tiles just don’t pop off the wall leaving a nice surface you can tile over. You’ll probably want to replace the pipes while you have the wall open. You’ll probably want to add an electrical outlet and perhaps another light. You also may have to change the studs.
