Can someone recommend a Tax Accountant

Any recommendations for a good tax accountant in the Gowanus/Park Slope area?  We purchased a house, did lots of improvements/repairs, amongst other variables.

P.S. Sarah and Peter use all modern methods of communication-email and fed ex for example-so there is no actual need to GO to Staten Island.  Additionally, Peter has called me in the past to verify our deductions, etc and to advise me of current tax laws which have very much helped us to save money.

We have been using a Staten Island firm for years.  We have been quite pleased with them.  It is a family run business-husband, wife, children-all CPAs.     Maniscalco & Picone, CPAs, P.C. 718 668-2901.   I would suggest, however, that you only have Sarah or Peter Maniscalco or their daughter handle your taxes. We did have a problem with one of their employees who royally messed up with our adult son’s return but Sarah and Peter fixed the problem and did not charge us for the return.  In other words, they took responsibility and made it right. I do believe that said employee no longer works for the firm.
