Water damage on Parquet Floor

I had a bathtub leak over the holiday and need to have my floor repaired. Would appreciate any advise. Has anyone used Stafford Eliott recently? Wondering if I should place something heavy on it so it flattens out….but I am afraid of breaking the boards. thanks.

I suggest that do not use very heavy fittings because it may damage the boards. i suggest that you should consult with your plumber once and if the plumbing is good I can guarantee there will be no leakage or seepage.

Our parquet floor was damaged by water as well. Reached out to the forum and a number of people recommended Jose Zambrano (or Zombrano). He came over and will do the work for us after other renovations are done. He was great and very reasonable! The floor needs to dry out completely before any repairs can be made so I wouldn’t put anything on top of it because it could hold the moisture in. If you have a dehumidifier, run it. Based on what he’s going to do for us, he’ll likely have to replace the severely buckled pieces, but he keeps old stock. You can find his tel number if you search the forum archive.
