We recently bought a three family which at one point had 4 electric meters in the basement. The previous owner had three removed and used only one meter. How do I go about getting it converted back to 4 since we have family which will be occupying the other floors.

I think that you only need to add an extension to one of the other electric meters. Ask your local hardware store for some help or call your friendliest contractor. Regards Rod http://www.titanconveyors.com/

You’re going to have to hire an electrician. He’ll have to file a permit for reworking the electric service. So each apt is wired to a separate meter again. Once he’s done with that, he’ll call Coned for a inspection and new meters. Count on around 6 months to get meters from Coned, since their backlogged.
