I just looked up my job on BIS and noticed it was marked “Job on Hold.” I don’t know why and was told I had to ask that question in writing (via fax!) and wait a number of days for a response. We have had some paperwork problems so I assume that’s the reason. Has anyone dealt with this? Is it one of those things that can happen for a million reasons, or is it usually a really bad sign? I’m concerned they intend to revoke our permits which have already been issued. I just want to know if there is hope of coming back from this.

we recently tried to file an alt2 and it is being delayed because the DOB system is telling us “property is in hold status”. my expeditor is telling me it is an admin error and should be cleared up in a matter of days…..but he is also saying in his 30 years of doing this he has never encountered this before. so i am not sure what is going on…..will let you know more once it is resolved.

spoke to my expiditor. apparently the holdup is that next to SPECIAL STATUS someone typed a 0, which means nothing. it is supposed to be blank or say N/A. so until some computer person at the manhattan DOB fixes it they cannot process our alt2\.
