Parking for the Week

We live in South Slope and will be going away for a week that has no days on which alternate side parking is suspended. We have exhausted our usual options for dealing with the car. We know we can always drive to the airport and use long-term parking. However, is anyone aware of a relatively inexpensive garage or lot in the area, perhaps Sunset Park or along 3rd Ave that will take a car for a week?

Well, this might sound crazy, but how about asking a neighbor to just move it for you? I live in Clinton Hill and if you ever run into this dilemms again, and don’t have an answer, provided your car is an automatic, and I’m in town, you could bring it to my neighborhood, I could do it for you for a nominal fee. The alternate side parking here is only Mondays and Tues. so, it’s not an insurmountable challenge. my e-mail is mvonhalle@yahoo.com.

Assuming you find a spot where there is only 1 day of alternate side for the week, just be aware that a ticket (if you happen to actually get one) is only $45 – likely less than the cost of any lot/garage or long term parking at the airport.
