HPD inspectors questions

You can call the enforcement unit for your borough, and they’ll tell you “no cause for complaint” if everything checked out and that is that. The complaint stays. Only violations get closed out. You don’t get any notice about it being squashed, only if a violation is issued. HPD will call you to let you know a complaint was called in, and if its a A or B a recording will call several times in one day and it its a C, a person will call.

Had a high maintenance tenant call 311 about heat even though there is no problem. Super saw HPD inspector enter building and asked super if hot water worked, which it does. The inspector stopped by the complaining tenants apt for a few mins then left. How long till this complaint closes out or we get some sort of notice? Thx
