Hot water heater that doesnt need venting
Indirect water heater piped to the boiler. And water heater installation does not require chimney relining.

Hi, I am looking for a NYC approved hot water heater to put in a brownstone cellar that doesnt need to be vented to the roof (I’d rather not re-line the flue, etc.) Recommendations?

the obvious is electric but you probably want a gas fired unit…there is a slim chance that you can fit the venting parameters of something like an A O Smith GDV40, but getting the clearance from windows doors, etc is pretty difficult in a brownstone
