FOUNDATION CONTRACTOR

Question please: I saw one of the streets being ripped up( city installing new water/sewer line main)in Bed Stuy and was told that many homes ( or all??) must put in a new sewer line into their home ( ripping up concrete foundation in basement). Is this mandatory? I’m looking at buying a brownstone in Bed Stuy and would like to know if this is the case? Cannot get a straight answer from real estate agents. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks much.

Hey Brooklyn, Can anyone recommend a GC that could manage the foundation work for a newly constructed two family house in Brooklyn? We need someone to install the piles, water/sewer lines and electrical hook up. Any contractor recommendations would be great!
