Final DOB inspection who should be there?

Owner should be there to be aware (first hand) of what is required to sign-off the job (get LOC- letter of completion).

Final DOB inspection who should be there? GC, Architect, home owner? GC is telling the architect should be the only one there. The architect and his expeditor is telling me the GC should be the only one there

You (owner) should be there. Make sure you have the drawings (original label) for inspector to see. Makes no difference whether gc or architect are there – work was either done or not. you will get a list of corrections – yellow paper – or ‘clean bill’. I just went thru it with our extension and I was only one with the inspector (2 inspections, second to show corrections. They were 2 different inspectors).

Wow that’s really interesting. We were told by our expediter that we COULD NOT be there under any circumstances. Our GC shouldn’t be there either. Our expediter and architect were on site. It was actually really important that both were there because there was very specific information to be addressed in either drawings or the final work. Very surprised to hear from others that homeowners should be there!
