Experience with Bike Lane Safety Issues?

Up until recently, I lived a stone-throw away from the Prospect Park bike lane. I am now writing an article about bike lanes in NYC for Columbia University’s journal on Sustainable Development. I am looking for people to interview who have actually experienced either injury or near injury as a result of the bike-lane and generally view it as unsafe. I am looking to give this article a balanced view point and explore how the city is struggling to turn “sustainability “agendas into a reality. Do you mean the bike lane in the park or on PPW?  If I am out of your study group, take this as a comment:  As this is a real estate, home improvement forum you might consider the difficulties of renovating homes and rooms during and as a result of the transportation revolution.  A balanced view would include the workers, service providers and even the folks who deliver food, not just the home owners, recreaters, and those commuting to existing employment facilities. I renovate bathrooms using a bike and trailer, and If your view is balanced, it will be the first.  I had a collision with a skateboard rider in the PPW bike lane and would be happy to speak with you.  You can find me in the Brownstoner directory under Shower Stalls.  Green Mountain
