Construction vibration!

Hi – wondering if others have had similar experience. Pile driving to shore up a site over a block away on 19th street between 4th and 5th avenues is causing such strong vibrations that all my neighbors and I feel like we are living through an earthquake! The team doing the work is using some sort of digger or backhoe as a giant jackhammer to push the steel into the ground without any digging or drilling. The vibrations are so strong and low frequency we can all feel our houses sway. Things are banging on the walls and in some cases almost falling off. Again – this is over a block away! The vibrations and low frequencies continue for 10-15 seconds after you head the jackhammering stop. As if they’ve tapped into a vein of something that all our foundations are sitting on… Point of contrast, there is larger construction going on at corner of 4th and 19th as well as corner of 5th and 17th, and they have driven the piles with no disturbance (to us.) Something seems seismically wrong! We’ve called 311 and also tried to talk to the folks at the site, but nothing is stopping. After three days, I am seasick, and also worried about my foundation and pipes! best-

If you really suspect eminent danger 911 is more appropriate than 311.
