Carpet-Cleaning recommendations

Hi all, Wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a carpet-cleaning service in South Slope, Greenwood or Sunset Park area? We had a tenant move out after the last big snowfall and despite efforts to protect hall etc, we have significant rock-salt stains. Thanks in advance.

We rented equipment from Brooke’s Appliances on 7th Ave in Park Slope (http://brookesewvac.com/). They’re a wonderful family-owned business. In addition to renting carpet-cleaning equipment, you can hire them to do it, so it’s worth getting an estimate from them, too.

Stanley Steemer does a great job and their employees have always been super nice on the 3 occasions we’ve used them. Plus, I think their Brooklyn location is very close to you.

I’ve had Stanley Steamer come clean the carpets on all of our stairs and the floors that are tile twice now. I’ve been very happy with them. There weren’t a ton of stains, but the light colored carpet was obviously much cleaner and the minor stains were all completely gone after the guys finished. I had tried all kinds of harsh cleaners and scrubbing on the tile’s grout and made little difference, but they took it from disgusting to like new. You can schedule an appointment online, which I liked. It helps if you might have parking near your house (maybe you or a friend could get the spot before they come and then move when they arrive) but I don’t think it’s necessary. We are at a hydrant which makes this stuff easier.
