Architect Specializing in Landmark work

I am looking for an architect who specializes in dealing with the LPC on a regular basis and knows all the rules and regualations. Thank you.

It depends on what it is that are wanting to do to your house. For most things like changing windows, restoring your masonry, etc you do not need an architect to deal with Landmarks. That said; if you are wanting to completely change the exterior of your house then yes you will need an architect to produce the required research, detailed drawings, specifics on the materials used etc. In which case it is best to use someone that has done work in your immediate Landmark District, that has already done a lot of the research in the area and probably knows the best contractors that do the work in the area. Start by walking your area and talking to the owners of property that have recently had work done, talk to contractors that you see working in the area etc and also go to the local neighborhood landmarks meetings, most Landmark Districts have a local Group.

We do it quite often. If you are looking for quick then just give them want they are looking for. If it can be seen from the street front, back or side, then it will take time.
