Living on 61st 2/3 Ave Sunset Park
Community – I was wondering if any of you live on 61st 2/3 ave or around that area. How is it during those hot summer days? How safe is it walking to the N train (59th st) at night? Thanks.

You mean the blocks off the Brooklyn Army Terminal? I live about eight blocks south of there. I sometimes walk my dogs near there at night and I’ve not had a problem. Occasionally, you’ll see a hooker working 3rd Ave traffic around 64th but it’s not a major cruising area.
I know a couple of elderly ladies who live on the 4th Ave side and they’ve not had any problems around there. The main issue on the 2nd Ave side is access to good retail.
