Hi, Does anyone have any rec’s for granite and/or marble countertop supplier? Thoughts on price per square foot? Am I correct in thinking that I am better off avoiding Home Depot?
Thanks

  1. Stay away from Home Cheapo…

I used a fabricator on 6th and 63rd in Bay Ridge for all four units in my building, just up 6th Ave. from the Toyota dealership. Very nice work (kitchen, baths, various other granite bits in my house), and very fair prices. IIRC, Ricky Huang was the proprietor.

Call Ricky, he’ll take care of you… he’s the best.

  2. I just got a rec for a customer of mine. This referral came to me from a contractor I know and I have seen the man’s work. NB Marble at 718-835-1700.

  3. I’ve used KF Kitchen Countertops for a few jobs now, including a granite countertop replacement and building a custom bathroom vanity. It’s a family-run business on 3rd ave and Union with great service and pricing. Not “cheap”, but definitely cheaper and competitive. Call Jason at (718) 237-5800 and pls let him know Jesse recommended him if you do.

  4. Try Merino Marble and Tile. Their prices are alot better than Home Depot. They also have a great selection. I actually learned about them last year on Brownstoner. I cant recall exactly what I paid for my granite per sq foot, but if I recall it was on par with Depot’s lower end granite on Silestone prices — AND it was a much nicer stone. Home Depot didnt have anything that even resembled what I got and if they did it would be at the top of their price range (prices vary by color at Depot).
