Hi,

I have a large (I estimate 60 feet) tree in the back yard of my garden. I’m afraid it could fall down on the house (as well as neighbor’s) and now wish to take it down. Can anyone recommend a reasonable tree surgeon?

Many thanks

  1. I’ve also had a good experience with Family Tree Service. I tried a couple of other places for bids to remove a dead tree and couldn’t even get anyone to call me back.

  2. Are you saying that if an arborist told you your tree was healthy and needed trimming to enhance it’s health and growth, that’s what you’d do? Because you certainly don’t need a “surgeon” to take down a tree.

  3. Having used Family Tree Service twice, for pruning one tree and removal of another, I second daveinbedstuy’s recommendation. And nowhere near as expensive as most of the others, but just as professional.

  4. 2nd the recommendation for Hollis Fitch (Prospect Tree & Landscaping). Removed 1 tree, trimmed 2 add’l.
