I think white oak is about $3.27 per square foot to buy. Wider boards will be a little more. Exotics can be double that, if not more. For the oak floor inclduing materials, installation, sanding, and finishing (one coat sealer, two finish coats (oil) or three to four finish coats (water), I would figure about $10.00 per square foot. This may be a little more on a real small area or on the upper floors of a house (that’s a lot of stuff to carry up stairs).
