Property Taxes and assessed value of the property on a class 4 building is going up by 14% I just wanted to know of a good consulting group or lawyer to appeal the tax/assesed value hike.

  1. The deadline to appeal is march 1st. Has anyone used MGNY Consulting they sent me a letter in the mail.

  2. I use an attorney Dale Weber 718-446-2656. She wants my paperwork back this week, so I guess the deadline is approaching to appeal the assessed value of the building.
    She is charging me $375 per building.

  3. It’s a fairly straight-forward process called a certiorari process. I would think any real-estate lawyer could do this. My old co-op used to file every year anything changed w/ our taxes. Our attorney was Theresa Racht, but as I say, any RE / generalist lawyer should be able to help.
