We are in Park Slope and our son just got accepted into Bronx Science and I would love to hear from those who plan to, are or have sent their kids there, particularly regarding the school itself and the subway ride to the school. How difficult did the kids find the ride? Anyone use the private bus mentioned on Bronx Science’s website?

Yeah an hour long drive in the car each way every day is a great solution. For people who don’t have jobs, that is.

My child went to Bx. Sci. from PLG. I started off the school year by paying for private round trip bus service. My child shortly got involved with after school activities and made new friends, who took the subway. That ended the need bus service. I was wasting money. My child was confident with using the subway. I did not renew the bus contact.
I have 2 friends w/ kids who go there from N. Slope. It is a long ride but both girls think it’s worth it – they love the school & have made many friends there. One has been going for 2 years & one for 3.
