Hi folks,

We’re about to have a baby and are looking to maximize the closet space in our co-op. We’re looking for someone who can build out the interiors of two awkwardly shaped (but decent square footage) closets. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help!

  1. i agree with justmoved and using elfa-type storage which is adjustable. if you want a little less elegant and a lot less expensive, look at the rubbermaid “homefree” closet series, you can pick it up at lowes. with a drill, hack saw (bolt cutters will make it even easier), and some minimal know how in hanging stuff in dry wall, you can get it done easily. i’ve done 2 closets thus far with it.

  2. Thanks, justmoved! I saw your comment on the other thread and had checked out Elfa. Looks really flexible and affordable. Appreciate the tip!

  3. i said the same on another question re closets today … we used elfa for all our closets. we had a baby too (now she’s 5) and it’s been great b/c you can change the configuration very easily, which is helpful when your baby grows. the people at the store are able to provide good tips for you to maximize closet space.
