I need someone to install a small radiator for me (steam)that I already possess. It might need a new valve also. I’m looking for someone who has the knowledge to do it and works on their own without the overhead of a fleet of trucks, rent, insurance etc. all the extra expenses that companies must pass on to their clients. Can anyone refer someone?
Not many “individuals” or companies like to take on the responsibilities of a heating system or a building without charging for it!! “Overhead” assures that ALL parties involved are covered…
As far as the guy at Joseph Mechanical, it was Joseph’s son Slawomir that came. He was incredibly nice and friendly (in fact a little too friendly as to cross the professional line, but I forgive him)I got estimates from him for installing 2 radiators, an autofeed device on the boiler, and a backup pressutrol or whatever you call it, and for rebalancing an entire heating system per radiator etc.
As it turns out, one of his prices was a tiny bit lower on 1 item, than all the rest, his prices was actually even higher than the ultra high priced plumber with the fleet of trucks and ridiculous overhead charges!!! (By the way I am referring to B+D Heating) and they even are fully aware that their prices are very high, yet Slawik’s prices were even higher even though he has very little overhead! I told him this too so we went our separate ways. SO THE SEARCH IS STILL ON! ANYONE KNOW SOMEONE WITH GOOD PRICES???
The 1st paul person, Nadya, you wrote both 917 and 718 as prefixes so I called both, turns out the correct phone prefix is the 917.
I left Paul a message and he called back a day or 2 later, but didn’t catch me so I called him back and didn’t catch him. I left him another message and never heard back. So a day or 2 later I left another message and then another day or 2 later yet another message and no responses forthcoming from him. I don’t know what’s going on.
