Anyone want to throw out a guestimation on the cost of 42′ of timber fencing?

We need to replace one side of our backyard 42′ in length?

Anyone want to ballpark it based on 6′ palings etc? – btw is it too late to get it replaced now? eg ground too hard?

  1. Thanks for the advice about the concrete Masterbuider, good to know i wasn’t sure if we needed to wait until spring etc.

Regarding the quotes….really need it with an install price as well, so a materials only price wont really help.

  2. Call some lumberyards. Tell them you need about 800 linear feet of 1×4 fencing. There are a lot of lumbers/grades to choose from. Also Dykes is open on Saturday’s, so you could drop in and ask.

Concrete cures chemically, so the heat to cure it comes from within. It can be poured at just about any time. Also it cures hydraulically – water makes it hard. When it is really cold I wrap pours in blankets to insulate the chemical heat.
