I just had my parlour floors redone…the main room was a thin red oak parquet with a Greek Key darker border. The second room was largely strip oak. Jose and his crew did a really fantastic job with stain and two coats of poly over the course of two days (had to move large furniture from one room to another), and left the place very clean. The floors only needed a light sanding, one at 40 grit and the last at 100 and they look fantastic. There were two pieces of the Greek key that they had to patch and they did a great job. I got the original recommendation for him here on brownstoner from mopar.

  1. Sounds good! need floors redone in my new apt!!! I’ll give him a call.

  2. About 750 sq ft for $1,100 but would have been cheaper if they could do it all in one day without moving furniture back and forth

  3. Would you mind sharing the cost of doing this project with Jose? I am currently in the process of speaking to several people for a similar job, and am interested in reaching out to him as well.

  4. Thanks, dibs! I remember your facade photos very clearly. It looked great!

  5. So glad you were able to track him down and he did a great job. He is amazing.

If you search back far enough under Facade, all the pics are posted.

    Don’t have a floor pic.

  7. Do you have a picture you could post? Also, some time back you had recommended the contractor who had done your facade (very lovely, crisp job), but now I can’t find it. Could you post that, too?
