We were going to wait until Spring, but have noticed some major leaks into the apartment. Is it too risky to hire someone to do some cleaning and pointing this week – the temperature is supposed to be around 43-57 degrees ?

How cold is too cold?
not to cold at all. Bigger danger is letting leak all winter. Not good idea. You’ll see major bldg projects pouring foundations in colder weather than this.
We have guys doing pointing this week in my coop since one of the apartments had a bad leak after the rain last week. They do very good work and if you need their number let me know. Not the cheapest but best quote we got and the work speaks for itself.
