Do you literally mean scope or general contract language? If the blueprints are not fully detailed, I will go into as much detail as possible to make sure the scope is understood. I break jobs down into basic trades and indicate scope per room, frequently assigning the room a name and number. Fixtures and finishes should all be called out in line-item schedules.
Most of my jobs run very smoothly, on both contractor and owner’s representative sides, since I see contracts as something all parties want to achieve as efficiently as possible. A very detailed scope is simply a critical tool.
