We have the number of the C of O for a building but ACRIS shows “No CofO” because it was done before computerization. We’d like to get a hard copy of the C of O – can we do it on-line or where do we go to get it?
Thanks.

  1. It is on BIS not on ACRIS.

Check also on the actions menu as may sometimes be lurking over there instead of the general certificate of occupancy menu.

If you can’t find it then write down the number and go get a hard copy from the Boro office.

Brooklyn: 210 Joralemon Street 8th floor
Room no. 813 (Certificate of occupncy) Speak to John at the C. of O. service counter and an actual copy will be retreived for you after paying the princely sum of $ 8.00 to tap into the extortion fund of the DOB.

  2. Thanks, dibs – I tried that before ACRIS & it says there isn’t one. But there is – Schnall has the number but not the paper.
