Iron Fence - Cleaning/Painting
Looking for suggestions of a non-bank breaking firm people would recommend for having our fence cleaned (including all the rusting), and repainted. I know there are some folks who do it themselves, but I unfortunately don’t think I will have time to attempt it myself. I’d also like to have a few of the finials…

I’d also like to have a few of the finials that fell off to be cleaned up and welded back on as well.

I am a painter who has restored many iron fences. I get rid of all the rust, fill, or re-build areas can be, Prime with a rust resistant undercoat and do a top coat of oil. I am neat and reasonable. Custom Metal Products at 764 Madison Street in Bed Stuy repairs cast iron and wrought iron fences, plus they make window and door gates, and they are locksmiths. I haven’t actually used them yet and don’t know what their prices are but online their work looks beautiful. Anyone ever tried them?
