Where to Get Wood Countertops?
We’re installing a new kitchen and would like to get wood countertops, however we do not know where to source them (preferably locally). Anyone have any leads?

Ikea has cheap ones that are pretty good quality…
maybe see if the guys at counter evolution (they use wood from old bowling alleys to make tables, kitchen islands, etc) could make a countertop:

The best ones are made by Boos. They have a website and then list local suppliers…they have a wide variety of woods
I’d order direct from a restaurant supply place.
…either online or The Bowery.
…don’t be cheap, get the 1.75″ ones, not the 1.5″ thick ones.
