Cheap Kitchen Cabinet
I need a lower kitchen cabinet about 5 ft long and I plan to put a counter top and sink on it. Might need a second cabinet about 1 1/2 ft long as well. However I have to get the item as cheap as possible unfortunately. Can anyone suggest where to go?

Check Craigs list. Sometimes people are redoing their space and just want to give their old cabinets away. People alo advertise to sell showroom setups. Additionally, check the Post or Daily News for advertisements for “starter kitchens.” There are a couple of places on or near MacDonald Ave. that have very reasonable prices for 5′ base and wall cabinets.

Build it Green or Green Demolitions for decent, second hand ones.
Search through the Yellow Pages under “Kitchens.” Most cabinet shops have sale stuff around from kitchens either not sold or showroom layouts that they sell really cheap. You’re probably going to have to visit a bnch of them to see what they have, they usually have no incentive or are too lazy to keep track of what’s actually over in the corner on the floor at discounted prices. It’s hit or miss.
You also might at least try pricing Ikea cabinets.
