We had a carpenter install very long floating shelves for us and they are now sagging pretty badly. Can anyone recommend a contractor who has experience with floating shelves? We need to have them re-hung with new hardware and want to make sure the job is done right this time by someone who knows what they are doing. Thanks.
The shelves must be anchored directly to the wall studs, which may need to be reinforced

I see floating shelving under engineered all the time. If you plan on putting anything on them, or if they are more than 8″ deep, they need to be supported by some beefy metal that is well connected to the framing members. In most instances, this requires opening the drywall.
