Carpenter to Build Soffit
I am having a 4″ air vent run from dryer and bathroom vent thru apt to back of building. Any recommendations for someone to build a box (is that a soffit) around vent as it will be in my apt by ceiling. thanks community!

Yes, it would be considered a soffit. you would want a carpenter to frame it out with 2x and then cover with 1/2″ sheetrock. i would be interested in some weekend work if you are looking to hire. feel free to call me at 917 684-8633. Or, you can email me at: micahdeary@yahoo.com.

Wouldn’t that be a sheetrock guy, not a carpenter? Are you planning to build it in wood?
