Thoughts welcomed!
Guy:
Try checking the cross valves.. 2 independent systems?.. 1 system is bleeding into the other. Engineers do such a design so that the two apartments can run on 1 system if there is a problem with either system.

quik, we stay up very late. usually till about 12-1 AM so come by next time.
Bay Ridge is essentially the entrance gate to Hell. No wonder it’s warm. 🙂
@rob – i actually pay for my heat and hot water. im just surprised i havent turned on the heat for the apt yet.
the apt is super comfy 🙂
@kensingtonian – ive always wanted to make it to the bstoner shingdigs but its always on a thursday. i travel for work and come in thursday evenings 🙁
consider yourself lucky i guess? do you pay for heat? i assume no.. apartments in nyc in general over OVER-heated. it’s uncessary to keep it so hot indoors when it’s cold out considering people enjoy the AC when it’s so hot out. i have a radiator in my bedroom that seems to come on at random times and i wish there was a way to keep it off completely. i open my window and the heat just flies out the window, so clearly it’s a waste of money and whatever is used to heat. but i dont pay for the heat so i guess i dont care too much.
human beings are mammals and considering that 75 percent of people in nyc have excess blubber to begin with, there is no reason to heat apartments and buildings so hardcore.
if you are interested, im thinking about starting a lobbied petition to do away with heat laws.. not do away completely, but lower the legal temp by a good 10 degrees.

how you doin Quik! Gotta come out to one of the Bstoner shindigs one of these days. We can talk all about crummy Sunset Park houses. :o)
and re: gf….wait till she starts demanding fancier dinners with the money you save on heat.
sounds like you are attached on both sides and other apt is above you.
