interlocking weather strip for door installation –

does anyone know a door installer that uses this special door insulation process which we are told is the only way to properly install large doors and have the locks and everything else line up properly

  1. hi, did you manage to find anybody to do the insulation process. i have double victorian doors that could really use some help along with a bunch of newly installed windows that need some TLC. can anybody recommend somebody? thanks.

  2. It is very good, probably the best, but certainly not the only good way to weatherstrip a door of any size. V-bronze is very easy and almost as good. If you do find someone with experience with the interlocking it will be very expensive(my father used to install it). And since the alignment is critical, if you have any settling in the jamb the interlocking pieces will keep the door from closing.
