There was an open house I wanted to attend. The address was 10 Saint Nicholas Ave, Brooklyn NY 11237.

I wanted to know if anyone was able to visit the place? If so, how is the house on the inside?

  1. There’s a place like that for sale right now in ridgewood. It doesn’t work. Looks absolutely dreadful. The main center room is divided by supporting walls and columns. It would help if they had an architect, but even then, I don’t think you gain much.

  2. Figure between $600 and $1000 per person per room, depending on how nice the place is.

Figure $1200 to $1300 for a two-bedroom railroad, as much as $1600 for a large boxed two bedroom in very good condition, with heat included. Prices can get up to $2000 or more for a three bedroom, a duplex, extremely fancy renovations in lofts, or something dripping in historical detail.

See the real estate listings on BushwickBK for more detail.

M4L, I’m sorry to say the apts are no wider than average, since it’s two per floor.

  3. the google street view looks very industrial but the house looks really nize and WIDE. if you take a whole flr for yourself, that would be a really nice pad.

  4. Did not attend open house, but it’s a four-family and the location is excellent. I live close by. I’ve been inside other four families and have a general sense of the layout. It might be a railroad, with bedrooms at each end front and back and kitchen/bath/LR in the middle. Two apts on each side, one upstairs, one downstairs. I believe a four family is considered commercial property and requires a down payment of 25 percent. Wish I knew they were having an open house, would have loved to have seen this.
