Average salary carpenter NYC
I just wanted to know what the average salary of a carpenter in NYC would be? 0-5 years? 5-10 years? 10+ years? Thanks!

are you asking for the rate for someone in business for themselves – and therefore having to pay for insurance, pay taxes, license, and save for retirement, and collect sales tax for repairs?
Or are you looking to hire someone and provide them with benefits?
Or a part-timer looking to make side money?
The true options are limited here as anyone doing anything more than a simple repair for hire is supposed to be licensed. I am not even going to mention the dollar amount threshold here because it is painfully low. Licensed contractors must carry a job completion bond. To protect themselves as well as the customer, they should carry insurance. Unless I suppose by hiring them you wish to accept all the responsibility and risks – and even that I am not sure where the law rests.
I have not checked the union scale lately, but after all the benefits and social security are figured in, that hourly rate may top $80.00/hr.
My rates are low in comparison.
