The co-op building that I am in has 2 exterior doors in the basement. They are both in pretty bad shape and let in a lot of cold air. We would like to get some estimates on what it would cost to put in new, better insulated doors. We don’t need anything fancy, just something that works and is secure. Does anyone have any recommendations on someone that could come and do this work? It would probably require fixing the door frame as well. Note, these are not hatch style doors, rather regular exterior doors.
Thanks for your help, in advance,
Aaron

  1. A. Malek (you can find them working all ove the Slope) replaced basment doors for us – good work, we were happy with the metal doors and frames.

  2. I’m doing the same thing in our single family. I went to Larsen’s Window at 6318 4th Ave. Two steel security doors installed is $2000. My doors are smaller than standard so I paid extra to have them cut down.

  3. I’ve used AKO Windows, and was pretty happy. They’re on 3rd avenue and about 9th street? Right across from the Dunkin Donuts.
