How Do You Make New Wood Look Old
I’ve just had an oak stair case installed from my garden to parlor floor. There are lots of wood details that have never been painted which has acquired a kind of burgundy patina or very dark. I’m reusing the old spindles which have acquired that patina as well. Are there any stain(s) or procedure(s) out…
I’ve just had an oak stair case installed from my garden to parlor floor. There are lots of wood details that have never been painted which has acquired a kind of burgundy patina or very dark. I’m reusing the old spindles which have acquired that patina as well.
Are there any stain(s) or procedure(s) out there that can get me, if not exact, at least close to the patina I described above?

you pretty much have the idea, use varrious stain colors and eyeball the match
you could even try some red wine, its contains tannins like the oak (but to a greater degree)
