Washington Avenue: This Could Be Huge
This mama is big! Given its pivotal location on the heretofore slow-to-improve stretch of Fulton Street, we’re hoping this is going to be something nice that can counterbalance some of the less desirable activity that has been known to go on along this stretch. Who’s got the 411? GMAP

Jacobs was very big in the neighborhood when I arrived in 1987. He had many buildings and many renovations like the one mentioned at Gates and Washington. He even started a high end gourmet and housewares store on S. Portland between Lafayette and Fulton. I think with his wife. The housing bust in the next few years after that closed down much of his projects. I guess he was a guy ahead of his time. And now he is back.
That excavation work requires shoring up to protect backyards, yes or no?
and no mention of Greenehouse on their site. Looks like their work is uninspired but passable modern.
don’t think so shahn. No mention of them on the greenehousecondos.com site.
Check their website :

really nice work, looks like we could get a decent building, finally.
Wasn’t Steven Jacobs the developer behind the Greene House Condos on Greene Avenue?
SBJ Group restored the nice old prewar apartment buildings on Gates between Washington and St. James many years ago.
I walk right by there everyday and so I talked to one of the workers… Luxury condos… with a parking garage… so he says.
Their work is great! this looks very promising, I just email them with questions in regards, hopefully they will get back to me.
