The Brooklyn development hounds over at Wired NY just dug up these two projects, both of which are being worked on by Mehandes Engineering. The building on the left is destined for somewhere on Flatbush Avenue; the developers are North Developers and the architect is Ismael Leyva. The building on the right is a Scarano project (though we couldn’t seem to find it on the firm’s website) located at 77 Box Street in the northern-most reaches of Greenpoint. That’s all we got–how ’bout you?

  1. Do you know if the Flatbush extension project is mixed use? It certainly doesn’t enhance the Duffield Street side, which is pretty, quaint and quiet–isn’t there a zoning board that considers esthetics?
Any scoop on when they’re breaking ground, as I own some buildings very nearby.
    Thanks

  2. No, I don’t, but I’m sure anything can be bought for the right price — but that building and the beer distributor’s would make INCREDIBLE lofts — just build condos over and around them. I imagine there’d be a lot of environmental remediation to do however with the car wash space…

  3. Do you know that the Phat Albert’s site is up for grabs?
If so, I wouldn’t cry over that warehouse.
It’s a dump and apartments there would better link PLG with the park and botanical garden. . .
