There’s some chatter in the Wired NY Forum about the Dunham Condominium project at 44 South 6th Street in Williamsburg. Evidently, the fact that the building is right under the Williamsburg Bridge is causing some concern about noise. No way! Undeterred, the developer is slapping sticker prices on the upper floor apartments of between $850 and $1,200 a foot. That’s a good bit more than the flippers in the Gretsch are getting, isn’t it? Something’s not adding up.

  1. I was told that the 2br/2ba apts on the top floor will be going for around $1,300,000 which is equal to $850-$1,200/sq ft based on the size of the 3 apts.

No way would I spend that amount of money to be right next to a bridge/subway and in an area that is all boarded up right now.

I can not imagine anyone paying that kind of money for these condos.

  2. The prices for the Dunham being advertised are less than $600 per foot, actually they are exactly $561 per square foot, very low for the area. I think people should do their reserch before placing false information. The link to the pricing is above check it out for yourself.

  3. This is also on the corner of Wythe, isn’t it? I’m sure the brokers aren’t mentioning the constant stream of tractor trailers day and night on that street. It’s kind of a dump over there (I should know, I live a block away).
