Is the developer of the 574 4th Avenue cutting some corners on the building’s finishing touches? We sure hope not, given that it’s a Radusky design to begin with, but that’s the theory put forth by a Curbed tipster yesterday: “It looks like they’re cheaping out midway through development,” writes the tipster. “It’s certainly possible this will come later, but why take down the scaffolding before putting on the cornices?” GMAP
No amount of cornice is going to save this turd. I guess the Fedders can be installed from the inside.
How much would be saved by not adding the cornice? I certainly agree it makes no sense to remove scaffolding and then have to put it back up to finish.
