Six-Floor Addition on Bridge Street in Dumbo
Broker Victoria Hagman snapped this shot of an addition going up in Dumbo on Bridge Street near Front. We don’t know anything about the project, but we can assume it means only one thing: condo conversion. Anyone got the skinny?

I don’t know where “cd” got his/her info from, but the DOB filings for this project show a six-story addition with “MANUFACTURING & ACCESSORY OFFICES” on all floors. Maybe angry anonymous guy (who seems to like his anonymity too) wants to file a complaint at DOB??
And the owner on the Alt-1 filings is Vera Guttman, partner in 53 Bridge Associates.
But don’t let the facts get in the way of your anger.
Angry Anon Guy,
What about this item got you so pissed off at Brownstoner? His original post doesn’t say anything negative about anything, unless citing the fact that this project exists and asking people if it’s a condo conversion counts as “bashing.”
Anyway, if you are a broker, I’m sure your calm, professional demeanor does you wonders with your clients.
Broker bashing goes with the territory? That’s tacky and outdated. You should be more of a proffesional and be more concerned with yourself and your merits than with bashing another broker. I mean who really needs to hear that???
“This is a Guttman project. let’s bash the developers and brokers wink wink” Then someone acutually takes the time to access public information and posts the truth.
Anon 12:23 can brownnose the brownoser all he wants but hey look, he’s Anon also. I hear ya browny, identity put up or shut up – well I’m curious who you “really” are too…

The minute I see a tub going in I am calling DOB.
I know the site is still zoned manufacturing, so unless they receive a variance for residential dwelling then yes it will probably be sold as commercial condos.
This is a Guttman project. Word is its being done as a “commercial” project. I’m sure there is a good market for high-end commerical space, and no intention to make it a back door condo conversion. Nudge nudge, wink wink.
If Mr. Positive is a broker, he should get out of the business. I’m one and broker-bashing goes with the territory. If your skin is too thin to handle insults from a blog, you’re not cut out for this kind of work. And quite frankly, certain developers in this borough deserve a good bit of criticism. There are a lot of crappy buildings going up at ridiculous prices.
I send my customers to brownstoner.com all the time. It’s a great site and brings a certain humanity to what is for most people a scary and intimidating process.
