At some point in the last few days, the Sheraton at 222 Duffield Street erected its signage in anticipation of its grand opening next month. Meanwhile, as the photo on the jump shows, the Aloft hotel next door has all of its rear windows in.

  1. I don’t have any money to invest, and the idea can’t be protected, so here goes:

    If I was going to build a budget-ish hotel to make money, how about on Staten Island within walking distance of the ferry terminal? The real estate would seem cheap, there’s transportation to Manhattan, and, well, it just seems like a great idea–No?
