This one’s on the Southeast corner of the park. The units appear to have double height living rooms with mezzanines at the back. These may turn out to be decent.

  1. This building is a cinderblock pile of crap. Shoddy is an understatment. It’s a corner lot but the facade facing Union Ave. is a windowless monolith. The windows were propped into raw cinderblock with plywood shims weeks before the top floors were even started. You can expect water damage from day one. Nice glass fronts but the back has no air and light and tiny sparce windows. Looks like a hipster hamster cage.

  2. shoddy construction aside — i take it for granted that all new construction in wburg is shoddy — this is the first major new construction in greater wburg in the last couple years that, based on this picture anyway, isn’t completely butt-ugly. if the developer was humane, he/they would leave the interiors completely unfinished instead of putting in the shoddy, poorly designed, useless mezzanines that you know he IS going to put in. overall this is, i believe, the most positive thing i’ve ever said on brownstoner!

  3. Once we get the robot trains on the L, all our troubles will be solved. Robot trains aren’t distracted by emotions, their only directive will be to give us as efficient commute as possible. We will be wisked into the future!

Plus, 3 or 4 more people can fit where the conductor used to be.

  4. the construction is shoddy. take a look at the lower left hand corner … the building actually overhangs the old tenement building next door. the owner wouldn’t sell, so they just built over into his air space. big legal trouble a comin’ … take a good hard look, with an expert, before you buy.
